Ban Tang is known for designing small concealable fixed blades that perform far greater than their size. The Material Processing Knife is the polar opposite, coming in at a massive 13.25 OAL but still possessing Bans performance driven ideology. Incredibly fast for size due to a thinner 1.40” spine and 3V steel, it combines speed and strength. The profile is reminiscent of a Persian or filet knife and can tackle precision or mid duty tasks. In camp it can be a boning and processing knife as well as handling some chopping tasks. In your pack, truck or camp the MPK can handle almost anything you can throw at it. The contoured micarta handle secures the knife in hand with no hot spots to aid in moderately heavy repetitive work like,blind clearing or processing kindling.
The MPK is made of tough 3V and features a convex ground edge with a micro bevel for impressively clean, razor-sharp cuts. A thin, flat blade keeps the knife fast and light to work with. A user configurable sheath is pre-drilled for large Tek-lock, Discreet Carry Concepts Mod W, UltiClip Slim 2.2, UltiClip Slim 3.3.
Minimalist design and lightweight build allow the full size MPK to serve as an ever-present workhorse.
